THE FARM
TICCIARA oil takes its name from the chiaramontano area, contrada Dicchiara, an environment where centuries-old olive trees grow, twist and feed on the sun and the land of Sicily. Today, our company respects the environment and, above all, takes care of the consumer’s well-being. For these reasons, the company has joined the organic cultivation project, producing a great organic extra virgin oil.
TRADITION
Chiaramonte Gulfi, the pearl of the Iblei, is a small town in the province of Ragusa and has always been world-famous for the quality of the oil produced there. The soil and climate characteristics of the area characterise the cultivated varieties that time and human skill have made so exceptional. The distinctive cultivar of the area is the Tonda Iblea and the variety of PDO oil produced is Monti Iblei – Subzone Gulfi.
EXPERIENCE
Vito Savasta’s farm was established in 1977 and was initially dedicated to the cultivation of table grapes, olives and citrus fruits. In 1997, he decided to devote himself entirely to olive cultivation. This choice stemmed from the fact that the existing olive trees yielded an oil of the highest quality with excellent organoleptic characteristics: TICCIARA extra virgin olive oil was born.
PASSION
The production of Ticciara organic extra virgin olive oil is done with love. Consumer welfare and respect for the environment led the company to join the organic cultivation project, producing a great organic extra virgin olive oil.
BENEFITS OF EXTRA ORGANIC OLIVE OIL
Regular consumption of organic extra virgin oil has numerous benefits for the human organism.
Organic extra virgin oil has precise anti-inflammatory, emollient, protective and stimulating actions on certain organs such as the pancreas, gall bladder and liver. It also has remarkable tumour-reducing abilities thanks to its wealth of antioxidant substances – tocopherols, carotenes, retinol – capable of counteracting free radicals, which are responsible for cellular ageing processes.
Organic extra virgin oil is a true ally of health. The advice is to buy a properly produced organic extra virgin oil. The oils produced by Vito Savasta’s farm are made according to established rules: only high quality chiaramontane olives, a few hours between harvesting and milling, and a continuous extraction system.
